Plus1Vote is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization* committed to creating a democracy that is more representative of its people. Through on-the-ground organizing and digital campaigning, we have built a movement to mobilize voters to bring a Plus1 to the polls.

What We Do
Through viral digital campaigns; massive voter organizing trainings; and strategic partnerships with organizations, politicians, and celebrities;our relational organizing model focuses on mobilizing youth and People of Color to organize and vote in our elections.
We are experts at building coalitions and in using digital mediums to gain momentum for social movements. We have trained thousands of voting activists using our relational organizing model, have reached millions through our online events, and have brought tens of thousands out to march to the polls. Now, we are mobilizing our team on the ground for the 2022 Midterm Elections.
Our Campaigns and Impact
Plus1Vote launched in collaboration with MoveOn in the run-up to the 2018 midterm elections. Taking over their digital platforms and messaging, we created a series of videos, photos, and media that challenged viewers to bring a #plus1 to the polls.
The campaign made voting more social and engaging -- a force multiplier. Reaching 15+ million, the GOTV effort was coordinated with a raft of 30+ partners.
VOTE Face Campaign
Focusing on Instagram, this digital-first campaign partnered with Christian Siriano to engage the 18-29 demographic. In 2020, our Instagram VOTE filter was used over 300,000 times, including by Bella Hadid and Halsey.
The content was further utilized by organizations such as MoveOn, Sierra Club, Extinction Rebellion, and Rock The Vote.
V is for Vote
With a dozen cover stars and over 40 features, Plus1Vote took over V Magazine for their Thought Leaders Issue.
We curated exclusive interviews with major celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Lawrence, Janelle Monae, Mariah Carey, and Chris Evans. The campaign was photographed by legendary photography duo, Inez and Vinoodh, and led to Taylor Swift’s viral endorsement of then Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris.
March for Climate + Racial Justice
With over 65 organization partners, Plus1Vote’s March for Climate and Racial Justice brought thousands out in New York during Climate Week.
Plus1Vote led the march, connected social issues to voting, and registered voters on the streets.
Uber Rides to the Polls
As part of our goal to mobilize a record number of voters during the 2020 Senate runoff election in Georgia and remove the transportation barrier to voting, Plus1Vote provided free, round-trip rides to the the polls during early voting which began on December 14th, 2020, and on election day, January 5th, 2021.
In a first-of-its-kind campaign, we target 1.2 Million Georgians with a direct in-app offer to utilize Uber to go vote. And we pioneered geofencing rides to polling locations in all 159 counties.
